Here’s what attendees are saying about the talk:

“Even the most hard-headed (and left brained !) of businessmen would have enjoyed and taken away something really useful from your session.”

“An excellent thought-provoking taster session.”

“If you want to think about creativity – Tom’s talk certainly will provide you with plenty of food for thought.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the talk, very  enlightening and will try out the techniques.”

The day seem to fly with exercises being particularly ‘easy’ to get into. Even when blocks have been experienced Tom managed to lead me through them and his thinking outside of the box invited new material and ideas to pour in. There was a great detail of very useful information even if you are not serious about writing a book just yet and applicable to any other areas of your life. Thank you Tom, I know a writer’s seed has been planted – Tanja Gower

It was brilliant…everything I needed to know but didn’t know where to get the information from was in the course! I would highly recommend this course – Livasha Mudaly

Thoroughly enjoyed it, fantastic day, not often I come away from a workshop and feel as if I have ten times more information than expected. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to write or get their material published. Tom is authentic and walks his talk! Thank you – Mary Daniels

I enjoyed the workshop very much. It was very informative and helpful.I was quite ignorant re the publishing world. The information which Tom gave us during the course of the workshop will help me to channel myself in the right direction – Joya Das

Wide ranging, practical – Helen Griffith
– – – – – – – –
Tom has a natural enthusiasm about writing and his enthusiasm is very infectious. The workshop had a good mix of the practical, spiritual and useful information about the publishing industry – Janet Limb

– – – – – – – –
A good day and quite a different approach to writing than I have previously experienced. Lots of positivity and tips on publishing and deadlines – Gloria Savoy-Voller
– – – – – – – –
Taking on the dream of writing a book can be intangible and esoteric and therefore many would-be authors float around frustratedly in a world lacking structure feeling anchorless. I left Tom’s course energised with a spring in my step; which after a day-long course says a lot. More importantly I had 13 well-engineered mindmaps instilling a sense of shape to my plan and a bearing upon which to set my compass. Tom is a skilled facilitator who gave a great deal of himself. It is rare, if ever, that I walk away from a day’s workshop energised. Truly rare. You are a prime example of what I would call someone who is ‘career dovetailed’, in the zone, centred, purposeful and filled with innate conviction. Thank you. Well done today, Tom! – Duncan Bolam
– – – – – – – –
I am now going to write the book(s) that Tom unleashed in me yesterday! I thought there was one, but seems after a good nights rest, there are 3 that want to come out! – Cheryl-lee Broadfoot
– – – – – – – –
‘New Age’ but highly practical; hard headed but not cynical; generous but not gushing; good fun, and hard work. It did much more than it said on the tin. Thanks – Keith Hutcheson
– – – – – – – –
I am just looking at your Home Study study material – it is amazing – I want to be able to prepare something like that for whatever I am to do! This is fab, I never realised that you are real wizard! Well done! – Tanja Gower

Soulwave – a novel about Time, Space & Luck

I reckon that if the fabulous Paolo Coelho can serialise his novel to test it with his readers – as he did with The Winner Stands Alone – then I should have a go too.

So I’ve put the first few chapters of my new novel Soulwave up on the myebook platform.

You can access it here … www.tinyurl.com/soulwavesampler

& I would be ever so grateful for a few things

1. What you think of it – truely !!

2. Adding comments at the front of the book or using the form at the back

3. Clicking the Subscribe button so you get notified when I add the next chapters

4. Telling your friends about it …

At last a cure for Writer’s Block

Myebook - Wordlube - writer's block removal in 5 days - click here to open my ebook

As part of my author mentoring work in workshops, online and 1-2-1’s, I spend a fair amount of time dealing with writer’s blocks.

For the most stubborn blocks, I use techniques such as hypnosis, past life regression and therapies using time line and releasing karma.

For the run of the mill blockages, less drastic action is needed and I’ve just written an ebook with a set of simple exercises that can be done over a series of 5 days to help authors connect with their creative muse.

My inspiration for this was using a can of WD-4o at the weekend to free up a stubborn padlock in the garden. It got me thinking. What if there was a spray we could use to unstick writers?

Wordlube was born and you can access it for free here on the excellent Myebook platform … the YouTube for writers & publishers …

The book has been out for just a week and this is what people are saying about it already ….

“A very creative piece of work Tom! Imagine what an impact this could have on unleashing creativity. Well done!”

“A fantastic product. Simple, easy to apply, very engaging and transformational. I love it.”

“Four fifths of the new book completed and people waiting! Oh the stress! This is just perfect for taking that nasty flappiness away so we can enjoy the writing process again. You are fab.”

“Really diverse in helping you overcome the “block”. Mind-mapping is the way to go!”

How to Channel Your Book Workshop

stevenobelThe Unleash the Book Inside workshop is being run in March as part of the Alternatives programme.

You can listen to a interview about my approach to writing with Steve Nobel.

It’s 30 minutes long and gives an alternative approach to the how and why of writing a book.

You’ll find out gems of wisdom like how getting rid of writer’s block frees up other areas in your life and how not-thinking is the path to the collective consciousness.

You can download and listen to the whole interview here

The workshop ran on Sunday the 22nd March in Central London and this is the feedback from those that attended …

You can see the schedule for the next workshop near you here

If you can’t make a workshop, then it’s available for Home Study anywhere in the world here

Tom also mentors authors who have attended the workshop and taken Home Study course anywhere in the world over Skype

The Bookwright a year old – a CanDoCanBe attitude?

This week sees the first birthday of The Bookwright blog … and indeed of the Bookwright moniker.

Somewhat serendipitously,  I came up with the name on the drive home after listening to Karen Skidmore of CanDoCanBe talking about how blogs can transform your business.

When you come up with a name you like and then you find the dot.com is available, it’s always a good light bulb moment – see here more on this

I suppose it’s somewhat appropriate then that tonight I’m speaking at Karen’s March CanDoCanBe networking event on the topic of how writing and publishing a book can transform your business and indeed your life.

P.S. here’s some feedback a day after the talk ….

“What an inspiration you are Tom. Before your presentation I wasn’t sure at all if I could really write a book. Now I feel the inspiration to go ahead and do it. A Sparkle from me to you. Thank you.” – Cim Bartlett

“Tom has now really motivated me to get my book finished and ‘out there’. Really engaging, do-able and supportive. Big thanks!” – Sarah Lumley

I simple wasn’t doing this a year ago and I have to thank many people like Wendy Salter & Lisa Turner for getting me to this point.

As you can see, it’s been a big year with many new achievements  … and there is much, much more just about to come.

For example, I’ve delivered 8 workshops and several of the attendees are now in print and many more have their books well on the way. This year the workshop goes nationwide and international !!

I’ve also been busy and written and ‘published’ two on-line books – namely the Home Study version of the workshop which is selling well and a free ebook called Wordlube to help clear writer’s block which has been well received.

myebooklogotransparent_180I’m also really pleased to announce in this anniversary week a new partnership with Myebook …. the YouTube for ebooks IMHO

… and over the next week or so, we’ll be announcing something very interesting indeed for new and aspiring authors …

‘Hand in Hand’ children’s book publishing

splodgeSplodge Publishing is now working with The Bookwright to bring a new and fresh approach to authors of books for children.

Splodge Publishing is now looking for new authors who wish to publish their children’s books a different way.  Unlike most other publishing houses who deal with authors wishing to self publish, Splodge are very happy to commit their time, money and resources into your project. Providing your material fits with our overall ethos they will happily consider giving you their full commitment.

Self-publishing usually means that authors design, print and market their books at their own expense.

So what is the difference with ‘Hand in Hand’ publishing?

Well it’s basically an agreement to make a commitment, together with you, to produce your work to the highest standard that it can be, and to give it as much time and energy as it needs to make it as successful as possible. Your part is to write the book and, in terms of monetary outlay, to pay for the design and print costs.  Splodge, in turn, will pay for all the rest of the production costs and all the post production marketing and distribution.

Why do Splodge want to do this?

Well firstly because they are actively trying to increase our product range and are looking for new writers, but also we are a fairly small company without millions behind them.  What they do have behind them though, is ethics and passion, time and skill.  So they ask you to cover the printing and design costs and they will do everything else including actively marketing your product by picking up the phone and letting people know that your product is ‘out there’.  They are a small company with a big mission. They understand that there are new authors out there with beautiful, channeled material that need representing and they are happy to look at everything submitted to us providing it meets our criteria – which is:

To educate and inspire children.  To teach them about issues which will help them grow into happy well-rounded adults.

With subjects such as:

Self-awareness

The environment

Spirit

Community

Responsibility

Writing a book (especially one with a wonderful message) and seeing it produced is both a challenging and exciting adventure – but it’s also complicated with a lot of admin and leg work – that’s why Splodge are here to help you along the way.  There must be nothing worse then putting your heart and soul into a project and then allowing it to be produced by a company which has no moral ethics, doesn’t care about the subject matter and is only interested in taking your money.

That’s why Splodge are different – because they want to make a difference!

To submit your work please send a covering email
